Definition: A subclass of retinol-binding proteins that take part in the intracellular storage and transport of RETINOL. They are both functionally and structurally distinct from PLASMA RETINOL-BINDING PROTEINS.  RETINOL-BINDING PROTEINS and RETINOL-BINDING PROTEINS, PLASMA are available; do not interpret the presence of retinol binding proteins in the blood as RETINOL-BINDING PROTEINS, PLASMA; check for appropriate term    Other names Retinol Binding Proteins, Cellular; Retinol Binding Protein II, Cellular; Retinol Binding Protein 2, Cellular; Retinol Binding Protein 1, Cellular; Retinol Binding Protein 1; Cellular Retinol-Binding Proteins; Cellular Retinol Binding Protein I; Retinol-Binding Protein II, Cellular; Retinol-Binding Protein 2, Cellular; Retinol-Binding Protein 1, Cellular; Retinol-Binding Protein 1; Retinol-Binding Protein (Type 2); Retinol Binding Protein 2; Cellular Retinol-Binding Protein I; Cellular Retinol Binding Protein
