Definition: A phosphoprotein that was initially identified as a major target of DOPAMINE activated ADENYLYL CYCLASE in the CORPUS STRIATUM. It regulates the activities of PROTEIN PHOSPHATASE-1 and PROTEIN KINASE A, and it is a key mediator of the biochemical, electrophysiological, transcriptional, and behavioral effects of DOPAMINE.      Other names Dopamine and cAMP Regulated Phosphoprotein 32; Dopamine and cAMP Regulated Phosphoprotein; Dopamine and Cyclic AMP Regulated Phosphoprotein M; Dopamine and Adenosine 3',5' Monophosphate Regulat; DARPP 32 Protein; Dopamine- and Cyclic AMP-Regulated Phosphoprotein ; Dopamine and cAMP-Regulated Phosphoprotein; Dopamine and Adenosine 3',5'-Monophosphate-Regulat; DARPP-32 Protein
