Streptothricins

Definition: A group of antibiotic aminoglycosides differing only in the number of repeating residues in the peptide side chain. They are produced by Streptomyces and Actinomyces and may have broad spectrum antimicrobial and some antiviral properties.      Other names Yazumycins; Racemomycins; Streptothricin; Nourseothricin
