Definition: Hypersensitivity reactions which occur within minutes of exposure to challenging antigen due to the release of histamine which follows the antigen-antibody reaction and causes smooth muscle contraction and increased vascular permeability.  /chem ind: coord with DRUG HYPERSENSITIVITY or specifics
